Arduino 3d printed dutch word clock with minute accuracy
4 Aug 2024(Updated 10 May 2026)

In my spare time, I built a custom Arduino word clock with minute accuracy, unlike most word clocks that only update every five minutes. I designed it in Fusion 360, 3D printed it on a Bambu X1C, and developed a TypeScript prototype to refine the time logic before writing the final Arduino code.
I documented the entire process from start to finish, including prototyping, soldering, coding, and 3D modeling. Check out the links below to learn more.
Want to build your own? I wrote a detailed build guide covering the full process from design to working clock, including the Fusion 360 modeling, 3D printing on a Bambu X1C, soldering the LED matrix, and writing the Arduino code."
